One-Way Fencing
In stock
One-way reptile and amphibian fencing lets animals leave a construction site while stopping them getting back in. Herpetosure one-way panels are formed with two bends that hold the fence at a 45-degree angle once fitted, and the textured upper surface gives reptiles and amphibians enough grip to climb the panel and leave the site.

One-way fencing is used where amphibians and reptiles need to move out of a construction zone without being able to get back in. Herpetosure one-way panels have two bends that hold the finished fence at a 45-degree angle, and the textured upper surface gives reptiles and amphibians enough grip to climb the panel and leave the site.
Fencing specifications
Each fence panel measures 1500 x 950 x 4.5mm, made from green recycled polypropylene.
Fitted measurements
Once installed, the panel sits 300mm below ground and 400mm above ground.

Fitting description
Panels go into a 300 x 50mm slit cut by a V backed sub soiler or “wiz” plough pulled behind a tractor, or into a trench dug with a chain trencher or mini digger. Where machinery cannot get access, the trench is dug by hand instead. Slitting gives the best result and the quickest fit, so use it wherever ground conditions allow.
Once the panels are in place, close the slit by driving back along the fence line with a tractor or vehicle, or by compacting it by hand. This seals the soil against the panel. Fit the panels to the side of the trench nearest the animal population being excluded, or to the inside face if you are fencing a containment area.
Overlap panels by 50mm and secure the joint with aluminium blind rivets. You can cut panels down, or increase the overlap, to follow uneven ground or contours.
