Chikara Weed Killer is a residual herbicide for professional landscapers and grounds teams. It gives up to 5 months of weed control on hard and permeable surfaces, using Flazasulfuron to form a barrier in the soil that stops annual and perennial weeds from germinating. One precisely timed application covers paths, fence lines and amenity areas.
Active ingredient: Flazasulfuron 25% w/w.

Chikara Weed Killer is a residual herbicide formulated with Flazasulfuron 25% w/w, giving pre-emergent control plus limited early post-emergent action on weeds that have just started growing. Applied correctly, it forms a barrier in the soil that stops a wide range of annual and perennial broadleaf and grass weeds germinating, so treated ground stays weed-free for up to 6 months from a single application.
For established weeds that are already growing strongly, tank-mix Chikara with a suitable glyphosate-based herbicide. Used together, the two cover both prevention and clearance in one visit.
Chikara suits natural surfaces not intended to carry vegetation, permeable surfaces overlying soil, and hard surfaces such as railway ballast. That covers gravel drives, paths, patios, kerb lines, fence lines and uncultivated ground, and it can also be used safely around the base of established trees and shrubs in amenity settings.
On its own, Chikara controls most annual and perennial weeds as they emerge, including buttercup, daisy, dandelion, nettle and shepherd’s purse. Tank-mixed with glyphosate, it also reaches established species such as creeping thistle, common ragwort and ribwort plantain.
Apply in early to late spring, before weeds have germinated, for the best residual effect. Autumn application is also possible. Avoid spraying in windy conditions or when weeds are under stress from drought or frost, and keep to one application per year.
Boom sprayer: apply at 150g per hectare in 200-600 litres of water. Knapsack sprayer: typically 7.5g per 10 litres of water, covering 500m². Full pack coverage figures are in the table below.
Chikara is a professional-use product (MAPP No. 20185) with a LERAP B classification. It should be applied by trained operators, in line with UK plant protection product guidelines.
