The Phoenix Drought Tolerant Grass Mix is built around turf-type tall fescue, chosen for its fine leaf and dense shoot growth, which gives a thick, hard wearing lawn. That makes the mix a solid alternative to typical ryegrass mixtures on sites prone to dry spells.
Tall fescue roots deep, often reaching more than a metre once the lawn is established. That depth is what lets this mix cope with summer heat and drought while still tolerating the odd bout of waterlogging.
