An economical, dry-tolerant embankment grass seed mix for stabilising steep banks and slopes. This non-ryegrass mixture spreads by rhizome, which helps bind soil and resist erosion, and stays hard-wearing with minimal upkeep once established. It also tolerates close mowing, down to 25mm.

About Embankment Grass Seed Mix

An economical, non-ryegrass mixture containing rhizomatous grasses, suitable for soil stabilisation on steep banks and slopes. The mixture tolerates the dry conditions often found on embankments.

  • 75% Creeping Red Fescue
  • 15% Smooth Stalked Meadow Grass
  • 10% Hard Fescue
  • Sowing rate on bare ground: 50g/m²
  • Overseeding rate on thin areas: 30g/m²
  • Mowing height: 25mm
