All Bent Renovation Grass Seed Mix is a single-species blend of 100% Teetop Brown Top Bent (Agrostis capillaris), bred for the ultra-close mowing that golf greens, bowling greens and top-quality ornamental lawns demand. Because it is a single-species mix, every characteristic of the sward (density, leaf texture, colour) comes from the Teetop cultivar itself.
| Species | Proportion | Primary role |
|---|---|---|
| Teetop, Brown Top Bent | 100% | Ultra-fine, dense turf for golf and bowling greens |
Teetop is a Brown Top Bent cultivar valued by turf professionals for its shoot density and fine leaf texture. It forms a tight, uniform sward that holds up at very low mowing heights, the main reason groundstaff use it for golf and bowling green renovation. It also tolerates disease well and establishes reliably across UK growing conditions.
The recommended mowing height is 4mm. Teetop tolerates close, regular cutting and thickens into a finer, denser sward at this height.
Late summer to early autumn (August–October) is the preferred sowing window, giving the sward time to establish before winter. Spring overseeding (April–May) also works well in favourable conditions.
All seed specified in this mix is subject to availability at the time of purchase.
