A low maintenance reclamation grass seed mix for restoring cover on quarries, open cast mine sites, spoil heaps and general landfill sites. Fescues and bent grass combine with nitrogen-fixing bird’s foot trefoil and white clover to establish on dry, infertile ground bordering on drought, with a limited tolerance to metal contamination in the soil.

About Reclamation Grass Seed Mix (non-ryegrass)
This mix suits reclamation sites rather than amenity lawns: quarries, open cast mine workings, spoil heaps and general landfill sites. It combines fescues and bent grass with nitrogen-fixing legumes (bird’s foot trefoil and small-leaved white clover) for ground that is dry, infertile and close to drought conditions. Tolerance to metal contamination in the soil is limited.
