A grass seed mix for land reclamation: quarry sites, open cast mine sites, spoil heaps and general landfill sites. Perennial rye grass establishes quickly to act as a nurse crop, giving the fescues, bent grass, birds foot trefoil and clover time to take hold on infertile, exposed ground.

This mix is intended for reclamation and restoration ground, not ornamental lawns. It suits quarry sites, open cast mine sites, spoil heaps and general landfill sites, where conditions are often compacted, low in nutrients or newly regraded. Dwarf Amenity Perennial Rye Grass establishes fast and works as a nurse crop, holding the surface together while the remaining species in the mix take hold. Those species were chosen for their tolerance of infertile ground and exposed conditions.
