Command Spring and Summer Fine Turf Fertiliser 14-3-8 + 1.2%MgO + 2%Fe is matched to the nutrient demand of the main growing season. It replaces what mowing removes and encourages tillering, thickening the sward into a durable playing surface. Nitrogen release is standard, not slow: it becomes available to the plant over weeks rather than months.
It is part of the COMMAND range of homogeneous granular fertilisers, where every granule carries the same balance of nutrients. That consistency is what keeps colour and growth even across a green or pitch rather than patchy. The 1-2mm granules are sized for close-cut turf: small enough to settle below the sward quickly, so they are not picked up by the mower before they can work. The wider COMMAND range runs from standard-release products like this one through to slow-release formulations that hold nutrients for up to three months, so the right option depends on cutting height and how long you want an application to last.
This standard-release granule suits turf cut above 3mm, where it penetrates down through the sward to the soil. The COMMAND range also includes slow-release granules for turf maintained down to 6mm; check which format suits areas cut shorter than this.
